How Date Night Ended:
After years of parent restraint, it felt good to finally throw an adult-sized tantrum.
A friend of mine who has been scanning my drawings for me included a scan of his face. I decided it would make a good “man on the moon” image and took some creative liberties.
His reaction?
“Scarey. Don’t show anyone unless you want to make them uncomfortable.”
This is part of a series I am currently working on called “the baby is displeased”
Word to the wise: if you ever encounter a parent with a new born, do not ask this question*.
The answer is no.
Always no. AHHHHHHHHH! Leave my tired, shrunken, sleep-deprived soul alone! Which may or not be concealed by a polite, tight-jawed smile.
*Unless, the question is followed with “Can I baby sit for the next 24hours so you can hit the sack?” then the answer is YES! Always Yes. And I LOVE you.
